Our little babe has turned one! I'm not going to lie, it's been much more difficult to keep track of everything each month since Kate is our second; however, I am happy for the opportunity to think about and celebrate Kate each month.
Kate remained toothless for her entire first year. (Side note: a tooth has finally appeared just 2 weeks after her birthday!) Her vocabulary has grown to about 3 words/sayings - "Oh boy!" "Uh-oh!" and her first word (just like her sister), "Dada." She has plenty of other things she says, but they are incomprehensible. She is pulling up constantly and is starting to slightly cruise. At her checkup, she was 20 pounds, 8 ounces (almost 2 pounds more than Anna), in the 25th percentile for her age. She also is 28.25 inches tall, in the 10-25th percentile range.
Didn't this turn out just adorable!?
She enjoys kissing Daddy in her free time.
She also admires herself in the mirror and kisses herself!
She and her sister continue to bond.
On her actual birthday, we went to McDonald's with Papa. She was so happy to have some french fries!
We did get end up getting her an adirondack chair for her birthday. She was happy to sit like her big sister!
She discovered her love of sweets as she ate her first cupcake!
We had some special professional pictures taken to document this joyous occasion! I have posted more on Facebook, but here are some of my favorites:
I think this is actually her about to cry, but it almost looks happy!
Oh Kate, you look like a politician when you show us how old you are!
And the comparison shot! One year with Anna and Kate, respectively. :)
