Visiting Grammy, Papa, & Aunt Heather

In early July, our family traveled to the Pittsburgh area to visit most of Curtis' family.  (We missed you, Aunt Megan!)  It was a short but sweet visit filled with lots of fun memories!  We arrived on Aunt Heather's birthday, but we didn't take any pictures, we just enjoyed the fellowship together.
I think this is my new favorite picture of Papa and Anna.  She loved helping him water his plants so much that she came home trying to water our bushes.  (We kill our plants so we don't have much to water!)
In the afternoon, we went to Living Treasures with Grammy and Papa.
Kate wasn't quite walking yet, but Daddy & Grammy were encouraging her.  She was very focused on the ground!
It started raining while we were there so we spent some time under a shelter where we could observe little alligators.  Grammy enjoyed the snuggles with Kate.
Kate loved feeding the animals!
And so did Anna, especially the giraffes.  I'm not sure if you can see it in this picture very well, but the giraffes would pick up the carrots with their long tongues.  Anna was fascinated!
We finished off the day by going to Dairy Queen for ice cream, a McDaniel family tradition.
It's amazing we got this many smiles from Anna! She doesn't usually let us take many pictures of her right now. The next day, we went blueberry picking!
Here you can see Kate in action.  She picks a blueberry...
...she eats it!  Haha, I don't know if that's what they had in mind. ;)
Our little blueberry girls
Kate has been giving us the funniest little looks lately.  Check out this look that Aunt Heather caught! She looks like she's been caught doing something she shouldn't be doing.
Aunt Heather got to spend some quality time with Kate as she sang "Baby Bumble Bee" with hand motions! It was really cute.

Last activity before we headed back to Indiana: the BIG Butler fair!
We all shared a funnel cake while we were there.  We had a great time and we look forward to celebrating Christmas with Curtis' family later this year!
