Kate is 5 months

Kate has now been in this world for 5 months and I'm starting to forget what it was like before she was here!  She is definitely beginning to have her own looks and personality.  Here is a side-by-side comparison of Anna (left) and Kate (right) at 5 months:

Kate flew to Atlanta for RUF staff training (her second flight) so that Curtis and I could go to a marriage conference.  Kate was somewhat strong-willed so we didn't get to hear a lot of the marriage conference together, but we are thankful for what we did hear and we hope that it strengthens our marriage.  Kate has a beautiful smile that makes us melt!

 She is becoming more aware of her big sister now.  I think they are going to be the best of friends one day. :)

She has found her hands and can't seem to keep them away from her mouth.

We also dressed her in a tutu that Aunt Heather made for her.  I would say she is rather pleased with it.

Anna's New 'Do

Today, I took Anna to get her first haircut.  Although it may not look that different, I think she looks even cuter!  Left side is before shot, right side is after shot.  Her hair was trimmed and she had layers and angling added.

Anna was scared for most of it, but she was very brave and did a great job!  She refused to have her hair washed, to wear the cape, or to have her hair blow-dried.

My hair stylist, Janet, did an excellent job with a challenging little client.  

 Of course, her bear "Pepper" had to be held during the entire process.

Afterwards, she walked around saying "haircut, haircut" and couldn't wait to show her daddy the result.  A good experience overall.

4 Months

Our little "Kater-tot" is now a whopping 4 months old.  Her smiles are contagious!

She is starting to grasp items that are around her like balls, blankets, pacifiers, and hair.  She went on her first airplane and met Uncle Tim, Aunt Monica, Great Aunt Bite and all her cousins during this month (see previous post).
