Catch-Up Highlights

I haven't done a great job of keeping this blog up-to-date so I am going to post lots of pics to catch us up to February. Drew doesn't always want to be in pictures so I really appreciate the ones where he smiles!

We made Thunder Cake to go along with Kate's book that she was reading at school.

We survived 2 hurricanes in the fall. The power never went out, but the kids were excited to pretend with their candles.

We went to Amazing Grace Farms to get the closest thing to a midwest experience. It was not quite the same, but we still had a great time!

The kids painted some pumpkins! They loved it, but you can't tell from Drew's face in this.

Three generations at the tea room: my mom and the girls' hadn't ever been to one!

We took our kids to the Blue Angels show. It was definitely worth the wait and crazy lines!

My good friend Heather and I made special platters with our 3 kids for a fall craft.

I chaperoned Drew's pumpkin patch field trip. We also made this scarecrow together!

He walked in a costume parade.

For Halloween, Kate was Addison (from the movie Zombies), Drew was Chase (from Paw Patrol),  and Anna was Hermione (from Harry Potter).

They got a lot of candy after trick-or-treating for hours!

Anna's soccer team was undefeated! She did really well!

We celebrated my dad's birthday.

My uncles came down to celebrate! It was nice to have them come and check out our house.

This was our Christmas picture!

Curtis and I went to a RUF at UF reunion. It was super fun to re-connect with people after 14 years.

Despite Drew's face, all 3 of them loved using the electric juicer on all of our fruit from the yard! We had oranges, lemons, and limes! The juice was so good!

We also celebrated my mom's birthday!

I was able to re-connect and spend time with my cousin Jennifer and her daughter at Thanksgiving.

And then we celebrated my birthday!

The kids have so much fun with the neighborhood kids.

I am loving my mom tribe through MOPS.

Drew sang at his Christmas program. In 2021, he stood on the stage and never sang. This year, he sang every word!

We went to the Spring Park and enjoyed walking around and seeing all the Christmas decorations and trees.

We had a fun Christmas cookie baking day at our house with a sweet family from our church. Drew bonded with his little bud Judah!

The kids all got to meet Santa!

And experience what "snow" is like in Florida. A simple snow machine that blows some soapy foam. LOL.

Anna broke her arm from her brand-new Christmas gift (hoverboard). She was in a lot of pain, but she had a good attitude about it.

We went to the zoo!

We celebrated New Year's Eve!

We love the neighborhood parties!

Kate began going to gymnastics with her best friend, Evelyn.

There was a lot of slime-making. Anna had to recruit extra friends to help since she was one-handed.

I flew off to Austin for the annual RUF wives weekend with Nikki. We celebrated in style with Mimosas!

I was able to have a quick visit with my aunt and her family! It was a blessing to be able to spend some time with them before the retreat got started.

Here's the group of ladies in our area (FL/GA)! We had a live mariachi band and delicious authentic Mexican food.

Here's the whole group of us! I think there were around 100 of us!

These are the RUF ladies who get what Curtis is doing best since their husbands are also doing what he does.

I squeezed in a quick visit with my best friend Catherine too! It was so refreshing to see her and hear how she's doing.

She and her family drove over from Houston to see me during free time. I was so excited to meet Maisie and re-connect with JP and Julian (not pictured) again.

I recently decided to become a discussion group leader for MOPS. This is my group! We have already had a lot of fun together...

...like a murder mystery party...

...and a Burn Boot Camp exercise routine!

Lastly, Anna and Kate dressed up for their vocabulary words. Anna was "extraterrestrial" and Kate was "hibernate." If you notice, Anna has already had her cast removed and her arm has been healed.
2023 seems to be off to a great start!
