June was probably our busiest month of the summer! For 2 weeks, Anna and Kate did swim lessons with the City of West Lafayette Parks and Recreation department. They loved it! Here's a few pictures:

One of Drew's first words was "Aflac!" Anna gave Drew this little Aflac duck and he has started saying "Aflac"! LOL. He usually says it 3 times, but I'm attaching the shorter video!
Curtis and I celebrated 11 years of marriage by going on a special date. Sadly, I can't even remember where we went. Don't worry, it's documented in our annual anniversary dates, but I think this is a casualty of our life stage!
One weekend, we spent some family time riding bikes in downtown Indianapolis!
Anna & Kate took turns on the tandem bike with me. They couldn't quite reach the pedals, but they could balance on the bike while I pedaled for the both of us!
Drew took it all in!
It was a really fun time and I think we'll plan to rent bikes in the future again.

Curtis took a quick trip to Chicago to see his best friend (the guy in the middle).
He took our girls with him and all 4 of our daughters bonded together! Drew and I stayed back and we learned that he gets a lot of attention from his sisters.
For the past several years, we've let Anna go to a local church's Vacation Bible School (VBS). This is the first year that Kate got to participate too. She's standing on the very left, unsure if she wants to be in the picture. It's been quite entertaining for Curtis and I to watch the differences between Anna and Kate! During the closing ceremony while the girls were on stage, Kate took off her shoes, physically turned her body away from the audience, and rarely sang (and didn't really do the hand motions). Anna was joyously belting out and using hand motions! Even though Kate wasn't one to perform in front of the crowds, Kate and Anna have performed at home for us loudly and often!
One of the songs that they especially loved talked about the power of the Holy Spirit. Kate made this drawing for us and explained that the squiggly lines were the Holy Spirit using his power to turn on the flashlights on the border of this picture! I love this drawing; she is very smart!
Meanwhile, I had adventures with Drew. I took him to a library program for very young children while I only had him during VBS. He enjoyed it so much, especially this ballpit! Another day he almost passed out on his toy! I was trying to keep him awake before his nap and I did actually succeed in holding him off, but you wouldn't be able to tell from this shot!
Next up and final week of June: Anna went to her first day camp: Camp Tecumseh! She LOVED every minute of it! Here's a couple of pictures of her time there:
She rode a pony, learned all sorts of fun songs, played games, and worshipped God!
During Anna's camp, I got to spend extra time with just my younger 2 kiddos. I like that they can fit in the swing together (for now)!
We made some s'mores with some of our dear friends one night that week. (Did you know the sun doesn't set here in West Lafayette until past 9pm EST?) These longer summer nights have been refreshing and memorable!
