Big News!

We're moving to Florida! It is bittersweet to leave this place that we've called home for over 8 years, but we feel like the Lord is guiding our steps. Curtis has been promoted to the RUF Area Coordinator for the Florida and Georgia campuses. I think he has been gifted with the skills necessary to perform his new position well. We are moving to Jacksonville for a couple of reasons: 1) It is a central area to all of the campuses that he oversees and 2) he'll be traveling often so I will need the support of my family that lives nearby. 

Our house search began back in September. Houses would come on the market and then realtors would ask for the highest and best offers within a few days. We lost out on the first 2 houses we put offers on! It was a lot of obstacles with the housing market, but we did finally go under contract in late October. I took a super quick flight to Jacksonville for the inspection and got to see it in person! The house checks most of our boxes and I think it'll be a good fit for our family. We are actually closing on Tuesday (11/30), which happens to be my birthday! 

We only have a few weeks left here in Indiana. I've been trying to really soak in my last autumn for a while - I will sure miss the fall foliage. Here's a few pictures I took as I rollerbladed and walked around the past few weeks:

We have many plans that have been derailed by covid in our family. We're hopeful that we'll be able to say some goodbyes to so many Hoosiers that we love, but it all depends on if the rest of the family gets covid too. So, please pray that Curtis, Anna, and I would stay healthy. If God has other plans than what we ask, we know they are what is best, but there will be much grieving. I have not been able to post much lately, but I do hope to do it again soon. Thanks for your patience! Happy Thanksgiving!
